Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup diced apples (about 1 medium apple)

1 cup unsweetened nut butter (like almond or peanut butter)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or dried fruit (optional)

1/4 cup flaxseeds or chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Start by peeling, coring, and dicing the apple into small pieces. If using, chop the nuts and gather all other ingredients.

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, diced apples, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir until well combined. You should have a thick mixture that is sticky but easy to mold.

Add Optional Ingredients: If you’re using mini chocolate chips, dried fruit, or seeds, fold them into the mixture for added flavor and texture.

Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes. This helps it firm up and makes it easier to shape into balls.

Form the Balls: After chilling, remove the mixture from the refrigerator. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking, and grab a tablespoon of the mixture. Roll it into a ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the formed ball on a lined baking sheet or plate. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

Store or Serve: Once all the balls are formed, you can either enjoy them immediately or store them. For storage, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they will last for up to a week. You can also freeze them for prolonged freshness.

Enjoy: Grab a snack ball whenever you need a quick boost of energy or a healthy treat!
