Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

2 cups fresh broccoli florets, finely chopped

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: 1/4 cup breadcrumbs for extra crunch

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Broccoli: In a small pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the chopped broccoli for about 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and let cool.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, blanched broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.

Assemble the Bombs: Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken and broccoli filling in the center of each triangle. Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket, pinching the seams to seal tightly.

Add Optional Crunch: If you like a crunchy texture, roll the sealed bombs in breadcrumbs to coat lightly.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of each bomb with the beaten egg for a nice golden finish.

Bake: Arrange the filled pockets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your cheesy broccoli chicken bombs warm, perhaps with a side of ranch or a light dipping sauce.
