Ingredients

12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or rotini)

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup diced ham (smoked or city ham)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

1 cup cream cheese (softened)

1 cup milk

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (about 7-8 minutes). Add the broccoli florets during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, milk, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Combine Ingredients: In the bowl with the cheese sauce, add the cooked pasta and broccoli, diced ham, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until all ingredients are well coated in the sauce.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.

Add Toppings: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, remaining cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Evenly sprinkle this mixture over the pasta bake.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your creamy, cheesy delight!
