12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Zest of 2 large lemons

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 cups baby spinach

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Additional Parmesan cheese, for serving

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

    Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

      Make the Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine. Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
