2 cups of button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour, if preferred)

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch works great)

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

Prepare the Mushrooms: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to clean them, then cut them in half or quarters depending on size.

    Set Up Breading Station: In three shallow bowls, prepare your breading station. In the first bowl, mix the flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and oregano. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.

      Bread the Mushrooms: Start by coating each mushroom piece in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the egg wash, allowing any excess to drip off.
