Ingredients

1 lb (450g) chicken tenders, skinless and boneless

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Cooking spray or olive oil for misting

For the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken tenders to the mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, panko breadcrumbs, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken tenders from the buttermilk marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing gently to help the coating stick. Place the coated tenders on a plate or baking sheet.

Air Fry the Chicken: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, making sure they do not overlap. Lightly mist the tops of the chicken tenders with olive oil spray.

Cook: Air fry the chicken tenders at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the chicken tenders are done, let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with the honey mustard dipping sauce on the side.
