8 oz (225g) uncooked pasta (farfalle or fusilli work well)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), drained and halved

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

    Prepare the Vegetables: While the pasta cools, prepare the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. Halve the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls, then place them in a large mixing bowl.

      Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

        Combine Ingredients: Once the pasta is cool, add it to the mixing bowl with the tomatoes and mozzarella. Pour the dressing over the mixture and toss gently until everything is well combined.

          Add Fresh Basil: Add the chopped fresh basil and give it one last gentle stir to incorporate the herbs.
