Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes. Reserve a few tablespoons of the marinade for later use.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they're well coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat the Grill/Pan: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or a large skillet over medium heat. Brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade. The salmon should flake easily with a fork when done.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.

Enjoy: Serve this zesty lime glazed salmon over a bed of steamed rice or with a fresh salad to complement the vibrant flavors!
