Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)

1 cup finely chopped cremini or button mushrooms

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 slices Swiss cheese

12 mini slider buns

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Sauté the Mushrooms: In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped mushrooms and diced onion. Sauté until the mushrooms release their moisture and the onions become translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, sautéed mushroom mixture, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to overmix.

Form the Patties: Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions and form them into small patties that match the size of your slider buns.

Cook the Sliders: In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

Toast the Buns: Meanwhile, cut the mini slider buns in half. If desired, toast the cut sides in a clean skillet until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: Place each patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the slider buns. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Garnish with fresh thyme if desired and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad!
