1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

8 large eggs (for the filling)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

8 slices of cooked bacon or turkey bacon (optional)

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional for garnish)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Waffle Batter:

    - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

      - In another bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, and vegetable oil. Then, combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; it’s okay if a few lumps remain.

        Preheat the Waffle Maker:

          - Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease the waffle plates with cooking spray or brush with oil.

            Cook the Waffles:
