Ingredients

3 cups mini marshmallows

2 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)

1 cup colorful sprinkles (jimmies or nonpareils)

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Cooking spray (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

Prepare Your Pan: Start by lightly greasing an 8x8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray to prevent the squares from sticking.

Melt The Butter & Peanut Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter. Stir frequently until both are melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

Add Flavors: Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the melted mixture, mixing well to combine all flavors together.

Combine Cereal and Sprinkles: In a large bowl, add the rice cereal. Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal and gently fold it until the cereal is evenly coated. Be careful to avoid crushing the cereal too much.

Mix in Marshmallows and Sprinkles: Fold in the mini marshmallows and colorful sprinkles until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Transfer to Pan: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Using a spatula or your hands (lightly greased), press the mixture down firmly and evenly into the pan. Make sure it’s packed well so that it holds together once set.

Chill and Set: Allow the squares to set at room temperature for about 1-2 hours or place them in the fridge for about 30 minutes if you prefer a quicker setup.

Cut and Enjoy: Once set, remove the marshmallow squares from the pan and cut them into small squares. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
