Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)

4 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup diced green bell pepper

1/4 cup diced onion

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and set aside.

Prepare the Veggies: In the same skillet, add diced green bell pepper and onion. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are soft. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Whisk Eggs: In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the sausage and veggies. Cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the eggs are just barely set (they will continue cooking in the oven). Remove from heat.

Assemble Crescent Ring: On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, unroll the crescent dough. Arrange the triangles in a circular pattern, with the wide ends facing the outer edge of the pan, overlapping slightly.

Add the Filling: Spoon the sausage and egg mixture onto the wide ends of the crescent triangles, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filling.

Fold and Seal: Carefully fold the points of the triangles over the filling and tuck them under, forming a ring shape. Press the seams together to seal.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
