Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup rice vinegar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to spice preference)

1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken Wings: In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well mixed. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to overnight for best flavor).

Preheat the Oven: When ready to cook, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top (this helps the wings cook evenly and stay crispy).

Arrange the Wings: Remove the wings from the marinade (but keep the marinade for basting) and place them in a single layer on the wire rack. Make sure there is space between each wing.

Bake the Chicken Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove them from the oven, brush them with the reserved marinade, and flip them over.

Finish Cooking: Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. For extra crispiness, consider broiling the wings for the last 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or eat them as-is for that sweet and salty explosion!
