For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground pork (or beef/chicken)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

For the Sweet Chili Glaze:

1/2 cup sweet chili sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)

1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp cold water (for thickening)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

    Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork (or your choice of meat), breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until just combined—be careful not to overmix.

      Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 1-1.5 inches in diameter). Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

        Bake the Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

          Make the Sweet Chili Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Stir well. When the mixture starts to simmer, add the cornstarch slurry and continue to stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

            Glaze the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are done baking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sweet chili glaze over the hot meatballs and toss gently to coat them evenly.

              Serve: Arrange the glazed meatballs on a serving platter. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a main dish.
